Pyrethroids have increased stability over the natural pyrethrins, and cypermethrin has the lowest level of dermal irritation and systemic toxicity of any of these third generation pyrethroids. Piperonyl butoxide has some intrinsic insecticidal activity, a low level of mammalian toxicity and is used to enhance the insecticidal action of the pyrethroid. Indications Fleas on dogs and cats.
