Indications Production of coronary vasodilatation in anticipation of severe cardiac load in athletic animals or in treatment of myocardial oxygen deficit (as evidenced by performance linked ECG changes). Muscle cramp, 'tying up' prevention. Contraindications Intravenous administration. Withholding Periods Meat. Do not use in horses that may be slaughtered for human consumption. Adverse Reactions Intravenous administration will produce a profound fall in blood pressure and possible ataxia and collapse. Dosage and Administration Administer by intramuscular injection only. Give two injections: one 24 hours before and again four to six hours before strenuous exercise. Horses. 2.5 mL/100 kg. Dogs. 0.5 mL/10 kg.
