Anaemex Iron Injection for Piglets

Composition Iron polymaltose 200 mg/mL; phenol 5 mg/mL as preservative.
Actions Iron is essential for piglets to produce adequate haemoglobin levels. Anaemex Iron Injection for Piglets contains the necessary iron in the form of iron polymaltose which is quickly absorbed and also ensures an effective depot action; it does not cause staining of the ham.
Indications Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anaemia in piglets.
Precautions
First aid. If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126.
Withholding Periods Nil.
Dosage and Administration One single dose only by intramuscular injection into the hindquarter.
Prevention. 1 mL on second to fourth day of life. Treatment. 2 mL between seventh and 21st day of life.
Do not administer to piglets after 28th day of life.
